Privacy Policy

LoopBlock is a browser extension that stops automatic short-form video loops and provides automatic next-video scrolling in supported Chrome/Edge and Safari editions. The iPhone/iPad Safari edition includes the free loop-blocking feature only.

1. Information processed

Extension settings: Loop blocking, automatic scrolling, the move limit, and remaining moves are saved in browser-provided extension storage.
License information: The Pro license key, Polar device activation ID, and activation state are stored locally in this browser. The saved license may be revalidated when the extension starts or its popup opens.
Page information: The current URL path and video playback state on supported sites are checked on-device. This information is not sent to LoopBlock or advertising or analytics servers.

2. How information is used

Saved settings are used only to provide the loop blocking and automatic scrolling behavior selected by the user. Page information is used only to identify supported short-form pages and detect video completion.

3. External transmission and third parties

When a user activates, validates, or deactivates a Pro license, the license key, Polar organization ID, benefit ID, device activation ID, and device label are sent over HTTPS to Polar's license API. Polar processes this information as needed to provide payment and licensing services. LoopBlock does not use advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking pixels and does not sell user data.

4. Retention and deletion

Settings are stored in the browser's extension sync storage, and license information is stored locally in that browser. Users can remove the extension or delete its extension data. Browser and account settings may affect synchronization.

5. Security

License validation uses HTTPS. LoopBlock does not directly collect or store payment card information; it is processed on Polar's checkout page.

6. Children's privacy

LoopBlock does not knowingly collect children's personal information.

7. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements.
